As I watch the kids around me grow up, I can’t help but think how lovely it would be if only they could see how they changed each year, month, even day. When I have children of my own, I plan to take note of the special events of each year and capture them in one of my books. By the time they are 20 years old, they will have 20 hardcover books to look back on, each one documenting a year of their lives. Of course, you ask, how does one ever find the time? I know it is hard for young, working parents to get a chance to read a book, much less compile one of their own! Luckily, I’m here to do it for you. Once you compile your photos, I will interview you to help draw out those special memories. A few minutes of your time is all it takes to capture your memories in print for a lifetime.

One of the many questions I receive is, “What makes a good photo for a book?” I tell all my clients and future clients to start thinking as though you were a professional photographer today. Photos that have the most visual impact are, for the most part, close-ups. Start taking photos of your baby’s eyes, mouth or fingers at a young age and continue to document their growth as they blossom. These photos can later be used as a striking visual story when displayed side by side. Guaranteed, a couple of years from now, both you and your child will wonder if they were really that small!
